"...at the directive of the United Nations" - John Kerry

The Intellectual Activist has a great article on Kerry.

Kerry's Real Vietnam Record: Kerry Has Spread False Fears of American Military Assertiveness by Gene Barth

In an interview with the Harvard Crimson, Kerry advocated immediate, unilateral withdrawal with no military aid to South Vietnam. He added, "I'm an internationalist. I'd like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations." ("John Kerry: A Navy Dove Runs for Congress" by Samuel Z. Goldhaber, Harvard Crimson, February 18, 1970.)

He has held the idea of letting the United Nations control the United States since the early 70's.

Here is the complete testimony transcript of Lt. John Kerry to Senate Foreign Relations Committee

Honestly, do you really want to hand of our country to the corrupt United Nations?

Maybe those who feel the UN can protect us better than we can protect ourselves should live in one of those "other" countries that rely so strongly on OUR strength and power? Has anyone noticed where the UN is located? I wonder why they haven't chosen to move to Paris, Berlin or even the beautiful city of Accra, capital of Kofi Annan's own nation, Ghana? I wonder if Senator Kerry would win an election for public office there? :-)
