Our family home schools and my son is a senior in high school. We have a reading time together during our school day that combines reading a Bible passage and then working on a book. We are presently reading General Franks' book "American Soldier". I am so glad that he not only gave his life in the service to our country, but has now taken the time to write it down and let us know what REALLY happened.

This book, along with Oliver North's "War Stories", Richard Miniter's book "Shadow War" and General Delong's (along with General Zinni) book, "Inside Centcom" all give such a cohesive and excellent view from primary sources about how President Bush has handled our war on terrorism.

The nightly news is not a credible source of events, but only a gossip column from a particular worldview. We MUST investigate the topics for ourselves to get the real picture.
