DNA affirms dead man's guilt

The case Death Penalty Opponents hoped would drive a strong opinion against Capital Punishment proved the guilt of Roger Coleman. Roger Coleman rape and murdered his sister-in-law, Wanda McCoy in 1981.

Without a doubt Roger was the murderer in this case. The Center of Forensic Sciences in Toronto stated, "The probability that a randomly selected individual unrelated to Roger Coleman would coincidentally share the observed DNA profile is estimated to be 1 in 19 million."

My opinion is that if DNA proves a person committed the murder in a death penalty case. Then the guilty should be convicted and the death sentence should be carried out within one weeks time. No more John Wayne Gacy's sitting in prison having a merry ole time appealing their conviction and spending tax payer money. Don't tell me it cost more to put someone to death than it does to keep them in prison for 20 years.
